Late 1999, Don Jack was commissioned to create a video storyboard for the forthcoming BBC Scotland Hogmanay show. It was intended that parts of the video would be used to publicise the forthcoming event, and the full version would be screened at the Stoke of Midnight, heralding the new Millennium. Various weel-kent faces would appear on the screen, sound production ably assisted by Donald Shaw‘s production team (Caper Ceilidh).
Overwhelmed by the positive public response, the BBC took an unprecedented unscheduled action of re-showing the video.
